↘ Avantium PEF granted approval
Renewable chemicals company Avantium NV said that its polyethylene furanoate (PEF) bioplastic has been granted a key Critical Guidance Recognition from the Association of Plastic Recyclers (APR), a US-based international nonprofit focused on improving recycling for plastics. Although PEF can be used in fully plant-based monolayer PEF bottles, Avantium earned the recognition specifically for the use of PEF in multilayer polyethylene terephthalate (PET) bottles.
