↘ Braskem SA said its CEO, Roberto Bischoff, is stepping down on Nov. 30. Novonor SA, the company’s controlling shareholder, has nominated Roberto Prisco Paraiso Ramos, a member of the board of directors, to take his place. Ramos joins Braskem following a brief stint at Ocyan SA.

↘ Neste Corp. has appointed Eeva Sipilä as the new CFO to start no later than May 1, 2025. Martti Ala-Härkönen, Neste’s current CFO, will leave the company and continue his career outside of Neste. Anssi Tammilehto, vice president/investor relations, will act as interim CFO until Sipilä takes up her role. Sipilä will join Neste from Metso Corp., where she has served as CFO and deputy CEO. She has been vice chair of the board of Neste since 2023 and a member of the board since 2022.


↘ Perstorp Group has announced Ian Atterbury joining as senior vice president, effective Jan. 13, 2025. Atterbury succeeds Aart Mateboer, who retired earlier this year. Atterbury is an established executive leader and has over 30 years’ experience in the animal nutrition industry.


NEUMANN: Brenntag CEO not extending contract.

↘ Kristin Neumann, CFO of Brenntag SE, will not extend her contract when it expires on March 31, 2025, and will leave the company. Neumann has been Brenntag CFO and a management board member since April 2022.


↘ SK Innovation Co. has appointed “new technology-driven CEOs” for three of its subsidiaries. Kim Jong-hwa, currently the head of SK Energy Ulsan Complex, has been appointed as the new CEO of SK Energy. Choi Ahn-seop, the head of the materials division at SK Geo Centric, has been appointed as the new CEO of SK Geo Centric. Lee Sang-min, head of Green Growth Division at SK Enmove, has been appointed as the new CEO of SK IE Technology.


↘ Stepan Co. has appointed Luis Rojo president and CEO, effective immediately. He succeeds Scott Behrens, a 31-year veteran of the company. Rojo has been vice president and CFO at Stepan since April 2018, having joined the company after a 21-year career at Procter & Gamble Co. Samuel S. Hinrichsen, currently Stepan’s global director of finance, will serve as vice president and interim CFO.
